If you're looking for a blend of luxury and value, Kalahari Lodge has its moments, though it's not without some concerns. The reception staff, particularly Mercia, were standout, accommodating and offering quick service upon our arrival. We appreciated the spacious room with great pressure in the shower, as well as the convenience of a bar fridge for our essentials. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by plumbing issues that disrupted our sleep. Despite reporting it, management seemed unaware of the ongoing problem, leading us to switch rooms ourselves in search of peace. While the restaurant was inviting, boasting a varied menu, we didn't dine there, judging by the prices and ambiance. With certain refinements in maintenance and guest management, Kalahari Lodge could elevate its guest experience, making it a worthwhile stop in Kimberley without straying too far from value. Consider your options carefully; balance luxury with practicality.
